Our verdict on each
Best at Travel
Continuity since 1986 and help through phone, email and help centre add reassurance for complex multi element trips needing phone based assistance for changes.
sailwithus
Sailwithus is a short catalogue aimed at families on the water: tours and boat rental is the range, and nothing else competes on the page. The trade-off is in the conditions, because moving a booking costs 50 EUR rebooking fee and a late cancellation runs to 90% fee from 6 days before trip.

Pros and cons
Best at Travel
Pros
- Covers flights, hotels and cruise for combined flight, hotel, cruise and tour planning.
- States No booking fees which keeps price comparison clear.
- Offers Mobile app: yes for planning away from desktop.
Cons
- Cancellation follows Standard cancellation charges apply per booking type so flexibility varies by booking type.
- Support runs on phone, email and help centre only, which limits choice for chat led help.
- Rail focus is narrow within flights, hotels and cruise compared with Emirates and its transfer led range flights, hotels and tours.
sailwithus
Pros
- Focused catalogue: tours and boat rental keeps the choice to tours and boat rental, so a group can read the whole range on one page.
- Support before and during the trip: email, phone and help centre covers a phone line, email and a help centre.
- Named operator behind the booking: sailwithus GmbH in DE is a company a family can hold to if a boat or tour falls short.
Cons
- Late cancellation is costly: 90% fee from 6 days before trip means most of the trip price goes if plans change close to departure.
- Moving a booking costs 50 EUR rebooking fee as well, so a date shift is not a cheap escape from a cancellation.
- The catalogue stops at tours and boat rental, so a family needing a hotel or a flight books that leg with someone else.
Who each suits
Best at Travel
Who it suits
- Travelers bundling flights, hotels and tours with flights, hotels and cruise in a single itinerary.
- Travelers who want phone based help through phone, email and help centre.
- Travelers who value an established operator linked to 1986.
Who should look elsewhere
- Travelers seeking hostel led stays may prefer Booking.com and its flights, car rental and transfers range.
- Travelers centered on airport parking and lounges may prefer Park BCP and its parking, hotels and lounges focus.
sailwithus
Who it suits
- Families who want a guided day and a boat booked from sailwithus GmbH rather than from separate suppliers.
- Groups traveling on fixed dates who accept a 50 EUR rebooking fee charge if a date has to move.
- Travelers comfortable planning in a browser, since there is no mobile app.
Who should look elsewhere
- Emirates, which pairs flights, hotels and tours, so a flight, transfer and hotel belong there.
- Intrepid Travel, whose packages, tours and cruise add rail and cruise for trips that need transport stitched in.
- Čedok, which lists flights, packages and tours including ski, for trips built around a mountain.

Questions about each
Best at Travel
Are there booking fees on trips?+
Booking fees are stated as No booking fees, which keeps the quoted trip price free from added service charges at checkout. The policy applies across the listed range, so you can compare flight and hotel combinations without adjusting for extra booking costs.
How does cancellation work?+
Changes and refunds follow Standard cancellation charges apply per booking type, meaning each booking type carries its own standard charges. You should read the terms for flights, hotels, cruise and packages before paying, since flexibility and charge levels differ across those categories.
sailwithus
What can you book through Sailwithus?+
Sailwithus sells tours and boat rental, which means a guided tour and a boat hire rather than a full holiday. A family can put a day on the water and an excursion on land into the same trip, but the site does not build in flights, hotels or transfers, so those legs are arranged elsewhere.
Is there a mobile app for booking and trip documents?+
There is no mobile app, so everything runs through the browser. That makes email, phone and help centre the practical route for anything urgent: a phone line for a change on the day, email for the paperwork, and a help center for repeat questions in between.
