Questions about each
SLT-Mobitel
What do SLT-Mobitel visitor plans cost?+
Tourist plans start at LKR 821, with a range of allowances and validity periods for short stays and longer visits. Prices are set by the carrier in its home market, and longer plans cost more. Top-ups are also sold for trips that outlast a plan.
Is the data unlimited?+
An unlimited data option is offered, and fair use conditions apply to the non-stop data plan: FUP and conditions apply to the Non-stop Data plan (Plan 03). Read any unlimited claim against those terms before you commit, since the conditions set the real ceiling. Heavy continuous users should check the wording for their plan.
Which country does the plan cover?+
Coverage is a single market: 1. This is a local plan for Sri Lanka, so the service stops at the border and will not follow you abroad. Anyone crossing a border needs a separate plan for the new market, or a multi-country eSIM that covers the whole itinerary.
Which network does the service run on?+
The service runs on the Mobitel network, the only network listed: Mobitel. As a carrier plan sold by the operator itself, coverage follows that network's footprint in Sri Lanka. 5G is included, so a compatible handset gets faster service wherever the network carries it.
