Our verdict on each
Airtel (eSIM)
Airtel's eSIM is a carrier roaming pack for travellers leaving India, and the reach is its argument: 189 countries in a single global plan. It suits anyone who wants one line for a long multi-country trip, and less well those shopping by the gig, since the day pack allows 1GB.
Telenor Norway
Mitt Telenor lets customers retrieve a PUK code, order a SIM, change a subscription, add data packages and pay or defer an invoice.

Questions about each
Airtel (eSIM)
How much does an Airtel eSIM cost to start with?+
The entry price is INR 648 for the day pack, and the daily rate is the same figure at INR 648. Airtel's published plan list reads Global Rs 5999 40GB 90 days; Rs 648 1 day entry, which shows what a longer trip costs. Budget in rupees and compare it against sellers quoting in dollars.
Is the data really unlimited?+
Unlimited data is offered on the long pack, with the published fair-use rule of 40GB high-speed then 80 Kbps. That means a generous high-speed allowance, then a slow connection good for messages and email but not video. Read the line as part of the offer rather than fine print.
How many countries does the Airtel eSIM cover?+
The roaming pack covers 189 countries, and the region is listed as global rather than a single market. That is ahead of the site median of 74 countries, so a multi-country itinerary can be covered with the pack in hand rather than a purchase at each stop.
What does the short pack actually give you?+
The day pack comes with a data cap of 1GB at a daily price of INR 648. That is enough for maps, messaging and a quick browse on arrival, but it is not a plan for a long working trip. Anyone streaming or tethering should look at the longer pack instead.
