What is Fair use policy?
In short
A fair use policy sets the limits a provider applies behind a plan, and it can cut your data without warning.
A fair use policy is the set of limits a provider applies behind a plan, even when the plan is sold as unlimited. It can cap how much data you get in a region, slow your speed after a threshold, or treat you as a non-resident. 1&1 (1und1) asks that your ordinary residence be in Germany, and once the high-speed volume is used up data keeps flowing at a heavily reduced speed. 2degrees applies a fair use policy, may cut hotspotting speeds during network congestion, and covers New Zealand data only on its Unlimited Travel SIM. A Danish brand sets a maximum data volume per billing period outside the EU, EEAA and the UK. 4ka caps EU data on its unlimited plan, and A1 Bulgaria applies the EU fair use policy to roaming minutes and data.
