Our verdict
Zwitchy suits travellers who want a single marketplace to cover a whole trip list without juggling carriers, and it reaches 200 countries across regional and global plans. Unlimited data, instant activation and top-ups come as standard, so a short trip and a long stay work the same way.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Coverage reaches 200 countries, with regional and global options for both a single trip and a multi-country route.
- Unlimited data and instant activation are both listed in unlimited data and instant activation, so there is no gigabyte count to watch.
- Top-ups are available, which lets a long stay extend the same plan rather than start a new one.
- Support covers email, chat and help centre for questions that come up before and during a trip.
Cons
- Support runs on email, chat and help centre, with no other channel listed for urgent problems.
- The marketplace setup puts the network and the plan terms with the partner rather than with Now On Company Limited.
Who it suits
- Travellers crossing several countries who would rather buy once than arrange a plan per border.
- Long-stay and heavy-data users who want unlimited data without tracking allowance.
- People who want instant activation the moment they land.
Who should look elsewhere
- Travellers who need a single market only: SimToIsrael covers 1.
- Buyers who would rather have a named provider than a marketplace: esimgo.is covers 190 countries.
- Anyone after a carrier travel pass should look at MTN, whose pass covers 50 to 63.
Where it works
Zwitchy covers 200 countries, sold as regional and global options so a single-country trip and a multi-country route can share the same app. Networks are named per destination, and for Japan the list runs NTT Docomo, SoftBank and au (KDDI). Breadth is the reason to pick a marketplace like this, with the caveat that host networks differ from country to country.
The company behind it
The site is run by Now On Company Limited, registered in Thailand. Zwitchy is a marketplace rather than a carrier, so the partner behind each plan sets the network and the terms. Support comes through email, chat and help centre, which covers questions raised before buying and questions raised once you have landed.
How Zwitchy compares
Frequently asked questions
How many countries does Zwitchy cover?+
Zwitchy covers 200 countries, and coverage is sold as regional and global options rather than one flat map. For Japan the listed networks are NTT Docomo, SoftBank and au (KDDI), so you can read the host networks for your main destination before choosing a plan.
Does Zwitchy sell unlimited data?+
Yes. Unlimited data is listed in unlimited data and instant activation alongside instant activation, and top-ups are available if a trip needs more runway. Unlimited data removes the usual habit of watching an allowance, and top-ups mean a longer stay does not mean buying a second plan.
Who am I actually buying from?+
Zwitchy runs as a marketplace rather than a carrier. The legal entity behind the site is Now On Company Limited, registered in Thailand, and the seller type is marketplace, so the network and the terms on a given plan come from the partner.
Can I add data while I am abroad?+
Top-ups are available, so a plan does not have to be replaced when the days run long. That is the practical answer to the question most long-stay travellers ask, and it pairs well with the instant activation listed in unlimited data and instant activation at the start of a trip.
Which networks will my phone connect to?+
It depends on the destination. For Japan the listed networks are NTT Docomo, SoftBank and au (KDDI). Because Zwitchy is a marketplace, the host network elsewhere comes from whichever partner sells that plan, so read the network list for the country you are heading to.
How do I get help if a plan does not work?+
Support runs on email, chat and help centre. That gives you a help centre for anything you can look up, plus chat and email for urgent questions before or during a trip. No phone line is listed, so time-sensitive problems go through chat or email.
Does Zwitchy suit long trips as well as short ones?+
Yes. short trip and long trip covers both short trips and long trips, and unlimited data takes away the usual worry about a heavy month abroad. Instant activation, also in unlimited data and instant activation, matters most in the first hours, when a phone needs data before anything else is set up.
