Our verdict

Wind Tre IT suits travellers staying in Italy and the EU who put price per GB above breadth. The daily price of €4.99 and a price per GB of €0.01 sit at the sharp end of the site, but 53 countries and no unlimited data narrow its appeal.

Who it suits

  • Travellers on a short break in Italy who want a quick eSIM on a carrier network
  • Longer EU trips where a low price per GB matters more than wide coverage
  • Anyone who wants hotspot sharing and instant activation on one pass

Who should look elsewhere

  • Travellers who need data in the UK, US, Japan, Turkey or Mexico, where the reference plans give minutes only, so eSIMGo.is fits better
  • Anyone set on unlimited data, since unlimited data is not offered and the roaming allowance is 5 GIGA per 30 giorni
  • Wide-ranging trips, where Zwitchy at 200 countries offers far more reach than the 53 listed here

Price per GB and validity

Entry price is €25, above the site median of €5, while the price per GB of €0.01 sits at the cheap end of the site. Plan prices show the same entry figure for a month of cover in Italy, the same figure again for a longer pass, a higher figure for the longest pass, and minutes only in the UK, US, Japan, Turkey and Mexico.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Wind Tre IT cost?+

The entry price is €25, which is well above the site median of €5. What pulls the cost down is the price per GB of €0.01, among the cheapest on the site. Plan prices on the tourist digital pass start from the same entry figure for a month of cover.

Which countries does the eSIM cover?+

The reference plan prices show that the UK, US, Japan, Turkey and Mexico come with minutes only, and the data allowance sits inside the EU. Coverage is listed as 53 countries, so a trip further afield means another eSIM.

How do I activate and manage it?+

The pass runs on the WINDTRE network and lists instant activation and a carrier plan among its features, so setup needs no store visit. Support runs through phone, chat and help centre, and top-ups are available if you run low.

Is the data unlimited?+

Unlimited data is not offered, and the roaming allowance is 5 GIGA per 30 giorni. A fair use policy also applies, so WINDTRE can temporarily limit data speed when traffic runs well above the average of similar offers over a month.

Can I share the connection?+

Yes, hotspot sharing is included among the listed features, and the network is the WINDTRE one. That makes the pass workable for laptops and tablets, though the 5 GIGA per 30 giorni cap still sets the ceiling.

Who do I contact for help?+

Support runs through phone, chat and help centre, so you can reach the carrier by phone, chat or the help centre. The seller is a carrier rather than a marketplace seller, and the legal entity is Wind Tre S.p.A., based in Italy.

Does it suit short trips?+

Short trips and long trips are both in the audience, and the reference plan prices repeat the entry price of €25 for a month and a longer pass, with a higher figure for the longest. If you want a lighter entry cost, eSIMGo.is starts at $0.99.
