Vodacom Mozambique review

Roaming plans start at MZN 600, and they are sold for global travel rather than a single home market. That entry price is higher than the cheapest marketplace options, so budget a little more if you only need data for a short stay.

Unlimited data is not offered, so streaming video or tethering a laptop will stop at whatever cap your plan carries. Top-ups are available if you run out partway through a trip, and coverage of from 150 countries means a partner network is close by in most destinations.

The plan covers from 150 countries, which is a global footprint rather than a single market. It is a useful spread for a multi-country trip, though Zwitchy reaches 200 countries if your itinerary needs more reach.

Yes, 5G is part of the plan. The service runs on the Vodafone network, and since it is a carrier plan from a network based in Mozambique, the same network handles both local use and the roaming add-ons listed.

It is sold by a carrier, so the plan runs on the operator's own mobile network rather than a travel marketplace. Travellers who want a self-service eSIM with instant activation may find a carrier plan harder to set up.

Support runs on phone, email and help centre, which covers a phone line, email and an online help centre. That mix suits a traveller who wants to check a roaming charge before adding data to a plan mid-trip.

It is built for short trip travellers, and the global reach means a single plan can cover a multi-country itinerary. It suits short breaks especially well, since the entry price of MZN 600 is easier to justify over a short window than a long stay.

The starting price of MZN 600 sits above eSIMGo.is at $0.99, while SimToIsrael starts at $25. Zwitchy covers 200 countries against from 150 here, so the trade is between the entry price and the reach your itinerary needs.
