Coverage and networks
Tinkoff Mobile is a local mobile virtual network operator, so it is built around one home market: RU. It runs on t2, MTS and Miranda, which keeps the plan focused on a single country rather than roaming across many destinations. For a trip that stays inside that market, a local network can be a straightforward way to stay connected. Anyone heading abroad will want a travel eSIM rather than this carrier plan.
How Tinkoff Mobile compares
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Tinkoff Mobile plan cost?+
Plans start at RUB 265, which is above the $0.99 entry point at eSIMGo.is and the $25 entry point at SimToIsrael. Exact tariffs change, so check the operator's tariff list before buying.
Is the data unlimited?+
Unlimited data is not part of these plans, so usage is capped rather than open-ended. Readers who need unlimited data may prefer Zwitchy, which lists it as available.
Which country does the plan cover?+
Tinkoff Mobile is a local mobile virtual network operator built for RU only. It is not a roaming or multi-country travel eSIM, so it suits a stay in that market rather than a wider trip.
Can I share data with a laptop?+
Yes. Hotspot sharing is included in the plans, which is useful for travellers who need to work from a phone or connect other devices during a local stay.
Can I add credit to the plan?+
Top-ups are available, so the balance can be topped up instead of buying one large bundle. That suits a longer stay in RU where usage accumulates over the trip.
What kind of provider is Tinkoff Mobile?+
It is a mobile virtual network operator, meaning it sells mobile service on top of another operator's infrastructure. The legal entity behind the service is T-Mob LLC.
How do I get help?+
Support runs on chat, phone and help centre, so you can reach the team by chat, phone or the help centre. That gives a choice of channels if your question is not answered in one place.
Is this an eSIM or a carrier plan?+
It is a carrier plan rather than a travel eSIM. Travellers who need a regional or global eSIM should compare a dedicated provider instead.
