TIM Brasil review

Pricing is regional rather than one global rate. A US and Mexico bundle is BRL 49.99, Europe and the UK are BRL 99.99, and Japan, Thailand and Turkey sit at BRL 149.99. The entry point is BRL 29.99, with data per GB from $5.

The headline per GB figure is $5, and it is a floor rather than an average, because the reference bundles are fixed sizes that expire after a day, a week or a month. A lighter block suits maps and messaging, a bigger one suits longer stays.

Unlimited data is not offered. Roaming data runs on capped blocks instead, sold in fixed sizes that expire after a day, a week or a month under the fair use policy. The global bundle is the largest reference option, and it is still a fixed allowance rather than open ended.

The plan covers 130 to 132 countries and the region is global. Published reference prices name the US and Mexico, Europe, the UK, Japan, Thailand and Turkey, so those are the destinations with a stated rate rather than an open ended map.

It is a carrier plan. The seller type is carrier, the legal entity is TIM S/A, and the headquarters are in Brazil. The prepaid side supports top ups and 5G is offered, so the plan comes from the network operator itself.

Calls and SMS are not included with the roaming data blocks, and they are charged per the regulation instead of being part of the bundle. Data and voice are separate costs, so plan for the data allowance and budget voice separately if you expect to call or text from abroad.

Support runs on phone, chat and help centre, so the operator is reachable by several routes. Because roaming data comes in fixed blocks with a set expiry, choosing the right regional bundle before departure is the main thing to get right.

The audience is short trip and long trip, and the pricing suits both, since a regional block covers a week of holiday use while the global bundle covers a longer stay. It fits travellers who are already TIM Brasil customers and comfortable buying from the operator in Brazil.
