Our verdict
Telemach SI is a Slovenian carrier that sells regional roaming as a tariff add-on rather than a travel eSIM, which suits subscribers leaving from Slovenia on an existing line. It scores 3.3 overall, and the plan set is the stronger part of that score.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Coverage reaches 56 countries through regional plans, so one bundle can carry a multi-country trip.
- Unlimited data, instant activation and a carrier plan all appear in unlimited data, 5g and instant activation, with a fair use policy that needs an SMS keyword to keep full speed past the daily allowance.
- Support runs on phone, email and help centre and top-ups are available, so an existing subscriber can manage the trip by phone or email.
Cons
- Coverage of 56 countries sits below the site median 74 countries.
- The entry price ranks 107 of 313 brands, and Japan at €60 costs more than the EU at €29.90.
- Roaming data stops at the VAT regulatory cap for each billing period unless the operator raises it with a further top-up.
Who it suits
- Existing Telemach subscribers in Slovenia who want roaming added to a line they already hold
- Travellers leaving from Slovenia on either a short trip or a longer stay
- People who want unlimited data on a carrier plan rather than a data-only eSIM
Who should look elsewhere
- Travellers who need a much wider map: Zwitchy lists 200 countries.
- Shoppers after the lowest starting price: eSIMGo.is, whose cheapest plan is $0.99.
- Anyone buying a single market rather than regional roaming: SimToIsrael, cheapest plan $25.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Telemach SI cost for roaming data?+
The entry price is €3.90 and the cheapest data works out at €2.99 per GB. Reference plans sit at €29.90 for the EU, €29.90 for the US and €60 for Japan, so a trip to Japan costs noticeably more per plan.
How many countries does Telemach SI cover?+
Coverage runs to 56 countries, and the plans are regional, so a single trip does not need a separate purchase. The site median for countries covered is 74, and Telemach SI ranks 171 of 303 brands on that measure.
Is the data really unlimited?+
Unlimited data sits alongside instant activation and a carrier plan in unlimited data, 5g and instant activation. Fair use needs an SMS with a keyword to keep full speed past the daily allowance, and the VEC plan slows right down once its included data is used.
Who am I buying from?+
Telemach SI sells as a carrier, and the legal entity behind it is Telemach Slovenija d.o.o., based in Slovenia. Roaming runs on the Telemach network, listed in Telemach, and support runs on phone, email and help centre.
How does setup work before departure?+
Instant activation is part of the plan set in unlimited data, 5g and instant activation, so a roaming bundle can be in place before departure rather than bought at the airport. It is a carrier add-on for an existing Telemach line, sold alongside a mobile plan rather than as a standalone travel SIM.
Can I top up while I am abroad?+
Top-ups are available, and the trips targeted in short trip and long trip run to both short and long stays. Roaming data stops at the VAT regulatory cap for each billing period unless the operator raises it with a further top-up.
How does Telemach SI rank on value?+
The overall score is 3.3, split into a cost part of 2.3 and an offer part of 4.4, so the plan set rates better than the pricing. The entry price ranks 107 of 313 brands, and the cheapest data price ranks 86 of 115.
Does the plan reach outside Europe?+
The plans are regional, listed in regional, and coverage runs to 56 countries. A trip needing a much wider map is better served by a global option such as Zwitchy, with 200 countries.
