Our verdict
Telemach.hr is a Croatian home carrier whose roaming add-ons suit existing subscribers heading to the Balkans, Turkey or the wider world on a home plan. Entry price of €9.95 and per-destination packs such as €62.90 make it a choice for subscribers, not a bargain hunt.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Coverage of 64 countries on the Telemach network, with regional packs for the Balkans and Turkey
- Unlimited data on home plans, with fair use rules that cap full speed outside EU and EEA
- Top-ups are available, so roaming spend can be added mid-trip
- Support runs on chat, phone and help centre
Cons
- Hotspot sharing is not among its unlimited data, 5g and carrier plan, which cover unlimited data, 5G and a carrier plan
- Fair use rules shape the unlimited home data: full speed only after a daily allowance, with per MB charges past the EU and EEA allowance
- Entry price of €9.95 sits above the €5 across the site
Who it suits
- Croatian residents who already hold a Telemach home plan
- Travellers on short trips to the Balkans, Turkey or the US
- Longer trips that need home plan roaming rather than a new number
Who should look elsewhere
- Travellers without a home plan to add roaming to, where eSIMGo.is starts at $0.99
- Travellers after one worldwide pack, since Zwitchy covers 200 countries
- Travellers who need to tether a laptop, since hotspot sharing is not among the unlimited data, 5g and carrier plan listed
Coverage and networks
Roaming reaches 64 countries over the Telemach network, which is listed as regional rather than global. The network is 5G and a home plan from the carrier is where roaming lives, so the packs are add-ons rather than standalone eSIMs. Regional pricing covers Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Kosovo.

Frequently asked questions
What does roaming cost from with Telemach.hr?+
Tourist packs start at €9.95. Reference prices put the US at €34.90, EU and EEA at €34.90 and Japan at €62.90, each billed monthly. A shorter world pack covers a fixed window instead, so the cheapest entry does not carry the largest allowance.
How many countries does the roaming reach?+
Roaming reaches 64 countries over the Telemach network, which is listed as regional rather than global. Packs are grouped by destination, with world A, world B, world C and a Balkans region, so you pick the tier that matches your itinerary rather than one world plan.
Is unlimited data really unlimited?+
Unlimited data sits on the home plans listed under unlimited data, 5g and carrier plan, and a fair use policy governs it. Full speed unlimited applies only after a daily allowance, included EU and EEA volumes are set per package before charges per MB, and mobile broadband is not part of roaming.
Can I use hotspot sharing while roaming?+
Hotspot sharing is not among the unlimited data, 5g and carrier plan listed, and mobile broadband is excluded from roaming, so a phone cannot act as a data source for a laptop abroad. Travellers who need to tether a connection should compare plans that carry hotspot sharing first.
Which countries sit in the regional packs?+
Regional packs cover Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Kosovo, priced in the same band as the US at €34.90. Turkey sits in that band too, while Japan and Mexico fall into the higher world B tier at €62.90.
Do I need a home plan first?+
These packs are sold as add-ons to an existing subscription, and carrier is the seller rather than a marketplace. Top-ups are available for roaming spend part-way through a trip, and Telemach Hrvatska d.o.o. za telekomunikacijske usluge is the company behind the plans.
How do I get help while abroad?+
Support runs on chat, phone and help centre, so chat, phone and a help centre are all open. The carrier has traded since 2005 from HR, and its network is 5G, which suits existing subscribers more than first-time buyers.
