Frequently asked questions
How much does OTVARTA cost?+
Entry pricing starts at PLN 7. In Europe the reference plan is PLN 47.99, and in the US, UK, Japan, Thailand, Turkey, Mexico and the rest of the Travel zone the same plan is PLN 69.99.
How many countries does OTVARTA cover?+
Coverage spans 80 to 87 destinations across a global footprint. That is wider than the 74 median across the site, though plans are split into a Europe zone and a wider Travel zone with separate pricing.
Does OTVARTA offer unlimited data?+
There is no unlimited data option, so every plan comes with a set allowance. Usage is also shaped by the fair use policy, which sets roaming data limits per billing period before data is blocked until you lift the block by SMS or in the portal.
Can I use my phone as a hotspot on OTVARTA?+
Hotspot sharing is not offered. If you need to share your connection with a laptop or other devices, that rules this plan out. Most travel eSIM options on the site do support hotspot use, so it is worth checking other picks.
Does OTVARTA work on 5G?+
Yes, 5G is supported and the service runs on the Plus network. It is sold as a carrier plan from OTVARTA Sp. z o.o., an MVNO based in Poland, so the data sits on a host network rather than its own.
What support can I reach?+
Support runs on phone, email and help centre, so you can call, send an email or work through the help centre. Top-ups are also available, which helps if you run out of credit while abroad.
Who is OTVARTA suited to?+
It suits short trips out of Poland on a budget, given the short trip focus and the entry price of PLN 7. Longer stays or heavy data use will cost more, since every plan carries a fixed allowance and a fair use policy.
