Orange Moldova review

Entry pricing starts at MDL 100 for Moldovan customers travelling abroad, and the Europe EU/EEA allowance is listed at MDL 100. A worldwide roaming option is offered alongside it for trips beyond the region. Amounts are quoted in leu by the carrier rather than in dollars.

Unlimited data is not part of these plans, so the allowance you buy is what you use. Roaming inside the EU/EEA also sits under a fair use policy that caps usage at a slice of the larger bundle, and the Europe allowance is priced at MDL 100. Proof of habitual residence in Moldova may be requested, with a surcharge or suspension of EU/EEA roaming otherwise.

Coverage runs to 31 countries, which is regional rather than global scope, and the service runs on the Orange network. That footprint suits travel within Europe and neighbouring markets more than a trip crossing several continents.

Activation is instant and the product is a carrier plan rather than a marketplace resale, which keeps setup to a single step before departure. The plan sits on the 5g, instant activation and carrier plan list for this brand. Support is available on phone, help centre and chat if anything does not go to plan.

Support runs on phone, help centre and chat, so phone, help centre, chat and email are all open routes and none of them depends on a third party app. The carrier is registered as Orange Moldova S.A. in Moldova, so the same organisation handles the roaming side and the support side.

Top-ups are available, so an active trip can be topped up instead of starting again from the beginning, which suits long stays as well as short ones. Entry pricing stays at MDL 100 and the same leu amounts apply. Data added this way still sits under the fair use policy for EU/EEA roaming.

Against a global marketplace listing, this carrier plan trades breadth for simplicity: 31 countries against 200 elsewhere, but a straightforward carrier purchase with leu pricing. Entries starting at $0.99 and $25 sit on a different price basis altogether.

The plans are listed for short trips and long trips alike, so a city break and a longer stay can both be covered. A regional carrier network and support on phone, help centre and chat suit the traveller who would rather manage one leu plan than piece something together across borders.
