Pros and cons
Pros
- Covers 155 countries on a global plan
- Entry price of OMR 5 keeps short trips cheap
- Unlimited data is included, with pay as you go charges once the included data or minutes are used
- Top-ups are available when you need more data mid-trip
Cons
- Included data is capped, so a fair use policy applies once included data or minutes are exhausted
- Unlimited data carries a fair use policy that can trigger pay as you go charges
- Support runs on phone, help centre and community rather than live chat
Who it suits
- Travellers already on Omantel who want one roaming bundle worldwide
- Short trips and long trips alike, since plans cover both lengths
- People who prefer paying through their carrier balance with top-ups
Who should look elsewhere
- Travellers who want an eSIM bought online and activated on arrival
- Anyone comparing cheapest entry prices against eSIM Go, which starts at $0.99
- Readers who need broad country lists, where Zwitchy lists 200
What data costs
Plans start at OMR 5 for a short burst of data, and the larger reference bundle costs OMR 7. Reference plan prices also set out the short validity option alongside the longer one, so you can match the bundle to the length of your trip. Pay as you go charges apply once the included data or minutes are exhausted, which is the fair use side of an otherwise simple structure.
Coverage and networks
The roaming plan spans 155 countries and sits in the global region rather than a single market. It runs on a carrier plan from an established home network, and the network supports 5G where the visited network offers it. Because this is roaming from your existing line, coverage follows the host networks you would meet in each country.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a Jawazak World plan cost?+
Plans start at OMR 5, and the larger reference bundle is priced at OMR 7. Reference plan prices also show a smaller short validity option. You pay through your Omantel balance, and top-ups are available if you run low.
How many countries does the roaming plan cover?+
The global plan covers 155 countries, so most itineraries sit inside a single bundle. Because this is roaming from your home line, you keep your own number while abroad. There is no need to swap in a separate travel eSIM.
Is the data really unlimited?+
Unlimited data is offered, but a fair use policy applies. Pay as you go charges apply once the included data or minutes are exhausted, so heavy use can move you onto pay as you go pricing. Read the allowance on your plan before a long trip.
Does it work on 5G?+
The network supports 5G, which is one of the listed plan features. Your real experience abroad depends on the host network in each country. Where a visited network offers 5G, your roaming line can use it.
Do I need an eSIM or a new device setup?+
This is a carrier plan from your existing home network, sold as roaming rather than an eSIM bought online. You activate it on the line you already have. That suits people who would rather not change devices while travelling.
What support is available while travelling?+
Support runs on phone, help centre and community, so a phone call is the main route when something goes wrong abroad. A help centre and a community are also listed. There is no live chat option listed for this plan.
Who is this plan suited for?+
It suits short trips and long trips alike, since reference plan prices set out bundles with different validity periods. Travellers who already hold an Omantel line get the most from it. People wanting a buy-online eSIM for a single arrival will find little here.
Is there any regulation or licensing detail to check?+
This is a roaming plan sold by Oman Telecommunications Company SAOG, a carrier rather than a marketplace or reseller. Support and setup run through the carrier itself. Any terms of service sit with your home network agreement.
