O2 CZ Datamanie review

Plans start at CZK 199, and the larger data bundle is CZK 249. The reference plan prices run on a monthly cycle, with a yearly rate for the biggest bundle. The same plan covers Czechia and the EU zone.

There is a tiered set of data allowances, plus an unlimited option. Fair use policy limits that unlimited plan: speed is throttled, data in the EU zone is capped, and usage alerts arrive before and at the limit. Read it as generous rather than boundless.

Coverage is 1 country: Czechia, and the same plan works across the EU zone. Destinations are not sold individually, since the reference plan prices cover Czechia plus the EU zone only. That local footprint is why the brand sits in the local group.

Traffic runs on T Mobile Czech Republic (radio network shared with CETIN), and 5G is supported. The operator behind the plan is O2 Czech Republic a.s., based in Czechia and trading since 1993. It is sold as a carrier plan, so the contract and the network are the same company.

Setup follows the carrier route: instant activation is listed in unlimited data, 5g and instant activation, and this is a budget tier plan rather than a marketplace listing. Top-ups are available, so an allowance that runs out mid-trip can be extended without buying another plan.

It suits a budget trip centred on the Czech Republic, where the local local footprint and the price from CZK 199 do the work. It also fits an EU-zone loop, since the same plan holds in neighbouring countries. Travellers with a multi-country list should compare wider eSIMs first.

On price from, the brand ranks 199 of 313, against a site median of €5 and a price per GB median of €1.50. Its offer score is 0.7, and overall 0.7. Cheap for a single market, narrow for a long itinerary.

Support runs on phone, chat and help centre, and the help comes from the operator itself rather than an outside service. O2 Czech Republic a.s. is the legal entity behind the plan, which matters when a billing or coverage question needs a written answer.
