Frequently asked questions
How much does a Movisim eSIM cost?+
Plans start at BRL 4.90, with listed prices of BRL 59.90 for the US, BRL 46.90 for Japan and BRL 42.90 for Europe. A larger data allowance pushes the price up, and the global option costs more than the regional ones.
Which countries does Movisim cover?+
Coverage runs to 190 countries, and you can choose regional or global plans. Connections run on Three, T Mobile and Movistar, so it is worth checking the host network for the country you are heading to before you buy.
Is the data really unlimited?+
Unlimited data is offered, and the fair use policy sets out what happens on daily plans: after a high daily volume the speed drops but the plan keeps working, so you stay online at a slower rate instead of being cut off.
Can I share data from my phone?+
Hotspot sharing is supported, and instant activation is listed in unlimited data, 5g and hotspot alongside 5G, so the eSIM can be live soon after purchase. Plans are sold for short trip and long trip, so short and long trips are both covered.
What if I need more data during my trip?+
Top-ups are available, so you can add data during a trip rather than replace the plan you started with. If something goes wrong while setting it up or using it, support runs on chat, email and help centre at home or abroad.
How do I get help if something goes wrong?+
Support runs on chat, email and help centre, with chat, email and a help centre listed. Movisim is based in Brazil and sells as a marketplace, and its legal entity is Movisim (CNPJ 41.004.794/0001-49).
Does Movisim suit a long trip as well as a short one?+
Yes. Movisim lists plans for short trip and long trip, so both short trips and longer stays are covered, and unlimited daily plans suit heavy use as long as the fair use policy is acceptable to you.
How does Movisim score on our data?+
The cost part of our score is 9 and the offer part is 8.2, with an overall score of 8.6. On countries covered it ranks 46 of 303, while entry price ranks 7 of 313.
