Our verdict
Makedonski Telekom is a home carrier roaming plan rather than a travel eSIM, priced from MKD 249 across 60 countries, and it suits travelers with a Macedonian line who would rather add roaming than buy a destination eSIM. There is no unlimited data to plan around.

Pros and cons
Pros
- The plan is sold by Makedonski Telekom AD Skopje as a carrier, so roaming sits on an existing line rather than a separate eSIM.
- Roaming reaches 60 countries through networks including Turkcell, TT Mobile and Vodafone.
- Mexico sits on the pricier Internet Exotic plan, which carries a larger data bundle for heavier use there.
- The feature list includes 5g and carrier plan, and support runs on phone, email and help centre.
Cons
- Unlimited data: no, and the fair use policy blocks data once the included allowance is used.
- Coverage of 60 countries falls well short of the 200 countries on offer from Zwitchy.
- Prices start in a home currency at MKD 249, while eSIMGo.is starts at $0.99 and SimToIsrael at $25.
Who it suits
- Macedonian subscribers who want roaming on the line they already hold from Makedonski Telekom AD Skopje
- Travelers on short trips or longer stays, since the audience covers short trip and long trip
- People routing through Europe, the UK, the US, Japan, Thailand or Turkey, where the reference plans hold the same price point
Who should look elsewhere
- Zwitchy, if you want 200 countries instead of 60
- eSIMGo.is, if a $0.99 entry point fits better than a carrier line priced from MKD 249
- SimToIsrael, if a plan starting at $25 for one destination suits your route better

Frequently asked questions
How much does Makedonski Telekom roaming cost?+
Plans start at MKD 249. Reference bundles hold the same price point for Europe, the UK, the US, Japan, Thailand, Turkey and the global bundle, while the Internet Exotic plan for Mexico is priced higher and comes with a larger data allowance.
Does this plan include unlimited data?+
Unlimited data: no. The fair use policy blocks data once the included allowance is used. The separate Speak Out option adds unlimited traffic for social networks only, so it does not make the roaming itself unlimited.
How many countries does the plan cover?+
Coverage runs to 60 countries, reached through networks including Turkcell, TT Mobile and Vodafone. The offer is regional coverage sold by Makedonski Telekom AD Skopje, and it ranks 166 on countries covered, below the 200 countries Zwitchy lists.
Can I use this on a long trip abroad?+
The audience spans short trip and long trip, so short breaks and longer stays both fit the plan. The catch is volume, because the included allowance is what you get, and the fair use policy stops data once that allowance is used.
What support do I get if something goes wrong abroad?+
Support runs over phone, email and help centre, so you can call, email or work through the help centre, and live chat is not among the listed channels. The offer is listed with 5g and carrier plan, and the seller type is carrier.
How does this compare with cheaper travel eSIMs?+
Makedonski Telekom starts at MKD 249 in a home currency, eSIMGo.is at $0.99 and SimToIsrael at $25. The difference is what you receive: 60 countries on a home carrier line rather than a per-trip eSIM bought for one destination.
Who sells the plan, and who is it for?+
Makedonski Telekom AD Skopje is the seller, listed as a carrier rather than a marketplace operator. The offer suits short trip and long trip, coverage is regional, and plans start at MKD 249. Account help runs over phone, email and help centre.
