Lumisim review

Plans start at €1.71 for a Japan eSIM, which sits below the site median entry price. Larger allowances cost more: a Japan plan is €15.13, a United States plan is €19.02 and an Italy plan is €15.56. Lumisim runs on a budget model rather than premium pricing.

Reference pricing is quoted per gigabyte, and the cheapest listed markets are Turkey, Japan and the UK, with Mexico higher. A One World global plan is quoted well above single markets, so per-gigabyte cost rises with reach. Plans start at €1.71, so check the rate as well as the entry price.

Unlimited data is listed among the plan features under unlimited data, hotspot and instant activation, alongside hotspot sharing and instant activation. A fair use policy still applies: each unlimited plan includes a set amount of high-speed data, and once that threshold is reached inside the validity period, speeds may be reduced.

Yes, hotspot sharing is supported, and it appears together with instant activation in the feature list under unlimited data, hotspot and instant activation. That means a plan can be shared with a laptop or tablet shortly after purchase, though the data in the plan still caps how much the shared connection can carry over its validity period.

Lumisim sells as an MVNO rather than a network carrier, and the provider behind the plans is Globtel Latvia SIA, registered in Latvia. It is a budget model provider, which lines up with plans starting at €1.71 and with support offered by email, chat, phone and a help centre under email, chat and phone.

Help is offered by email, chat, phone and a help centre, listed under email, chat and phone, so most routes are open without a store visit. Top-ups are available for plans that run out mid-trip, and instant activation means a plan can be live before the trip starts.

Zwitchy covers 200, a wider reach than Lumisim's from 180. eSIMGo.is lists a starting price of $0.99, and SimToIsrael starts at $25 for a single market, so a buyer weighing breadth against entry price has a clear shortlist.
