Price per GB and validity
Plans start at $2.99, which sits under the €5 median across the site. Reference prices put the global 149 country plan at one end and the Hong Kong-Macau-China-Taiwan unlimited plan at the other, with Hong Kong-Macau unlimited and daily data options in between. Validity follows the trip: a daily data plan suits a short arrival, while unlimited plans cover longer stays.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an eSIM from HONGKONGESIM.com cost?+
Entry starts at $2.99, below the €5 median starting price across the site. Reference prices show the global 149 country plan priced above the Hong Kong-Macau-China-Taiwan unlimited plan. A daily data option sits at the same low entry point.
How many countries does one HONGKONGESIM.com eSIM cover?+
The global unlimited plans cover 149 countries, above the 74 median of the brands compared here. Plans are also sold by region, so you can pick a smaller area if your trip stays local.
What does unlimited data mean on these plans?+
Unlimited plans are fair use limited. Speeds are held at full rate until the daily high speed allowance is used, then throttled: Lite, Basic and Pro tiers each get their own allowance, and in the UAE the allowance is smaller before throttling.
Can I use the eSIM for hotspot sharing?+
Yes. Hotspot sharing is supported, along with unlimited data and instant activation, so you can connect a laptop or tablet straight after setup. Tethering needs no extra step once the profile is active.
Can I top up if I stay longer than the plan?+
Top ups are available, which helps on long trips when a fixed validity window runs out. This suits travelers who do not know their exact end date, and it avoids buying a second plan for the extension.
Does HONGKONGESIM.com offer 5G?+
5G is listed as no for these plans, while 72.5% of the brands compared carry 5G. Network generation is the gap to weigh here, since data, hotspot sharing and unlimited plans sit on the same eSIMs.
Which networks does HONGKONGESIM.com use?+
Plans run on CMHK, AT&T and T Mobile, so coverage follows those host networks across the 149 covered countries. Checking the network behind a destination helps if you are in a country where only one of those partners operates.
How do I get help from HONGKONGESIM.com?+
Support runs on email, chat and help centre. That covers written help and a help centre, but there is no phone line, so urgent questions while you are abroad are handled in writing.
Is HONGKONGESIM.com a carrier or a marketplace?+
It operates as an mvno focused on budget plans, so buyers who prefer a carrier plan bought straight from a mobile network operator are looking at a different kind of provider.
