Our verdict
GO Malta is a carrier rather than a travel eSIM shop, and it suits travellers heading outside the EU who want roaming kept simple. Travel plans start at €5 with a price per GB of €2.50, and the bundles sit alongside the home network.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Travel plans start at €5 with a price per GB of €2.50, and that per GB rate ranks 78 of 115.
- EU roaming is included at home rates and top-ups are available, so a bundle can stretch across a longer trip.
- 5G is available on a carrier plan, and support runs through chat and help centre for home plans and travel bundles alike.
Cons
- Unlimited data is not offered, where Zwitchy does offer it.
- Support runs on chat and help centre only.
- The price per GB sits above the cheapest listings, whose rate starts at €0.
Who it suits
- Travellers on short trips and long trips (short trip and long trip) who cross the EU border.
- Existing GO customers who want EU roaming folded into a single home bill.
- People who would rather top up a fixed allowance than buy unlimited data.
Who should look elsewhere
- Zwitchy, if unlimited data matters more to you than a set allowance.
- eSIMGo.is, if a travel eSIM starting at $0.99 suits you better than a home carrier bundle.
- SimToIsrael, at $25, if you want a different price point to weigh against.
The company behind it
GO Malta trades as GO p.l.c., a carrier based in Malta and founded in 1975. That carrier setup is why the travel bundles sit next to the home plans instead of in a third party eSIM shop. Support for both sides runs on chat and help centre, so the same routes cover a roaming query and a bundle question.

Frequently asked questions
How much do GO Malta travel plans cost?+
Travel plans start at €5, with a price per GB of €2.50. EU roaming is included at home rates, and the travel bundles for trips outside the EU pair a set number of days with a fixed data allowance, from a small short trip pack to a larger weekly one. Top-ups are available when a bundle runs out.
Does GO Malta sell unlimited data?+
Unlimited data is not one of the options, so every bundle comes with a fixed allowance to watch. Only 57.2% of the brands compared sell unlimited data, and Zwitchy is one of them. GO Malta makes more sense for trips where a set amount of data is enough.
Where does a GO Malta travel plan work?+
Coverage is sold as regional and global rather than a single market, and EU roaming is included at home rates for trips inside the EU. Outside the EU, the travel bundles are the part to weigh, with regional reach that suits a multi country trip. Check the covered countries for a bundle before you buy.
Who is a GO Malta travel plan for?+
It is aimed at both short trips and long trips (short trip and long trip), particularly people who already have GO at home and want a single bill for EU roaming plus a bundle outside it. It suits light users who can live with a set allowance and top up, rather than heavy users who want unlimited data throughout.
What network and speed does a GO Malta plan run on?+
GO Malta sells carrier plans rather than a travel eSIM marketplace, and 5G is available on the network. The listed features are 5g and carrier plan, so the travel bundle behaves like the home plan travellers may already run. Coverage follows the carrier footprint in whichever country the bundle covers.
How do I get help with a GO Malta plan?+
Support runs on chat and help centre only, so a help centre and live chat are the routes, not a phone line. A help centre is the most widely offered support channel across the brands compared (87.3%), with live chat next (52.5%).
How does GO Malta compare on price?+
It ranks 149 of 313 on starting price and 78 of 115 on price per GB, so the per GB rate is the stronger side of the ledger. The cost part of its score is 4.2, the same as its overall score of 4.2.
