GlobalESIMs review

The entry price is £1.70 and the lowest price per gig is £1.70, while a larger Europe allowance is £8.65. Regional and global plans cost more, so a trip across many countries costs more than a single country plan.

Coverage runs to 160 to 200 countries. You can buy a local, regional or global plan rather than a single world wide plan, which suits a short city break as well as a multi country route. The site median is 74 countries, well below this range.

Unlimited data is available, but the fair use policy applies. A daily amount stays unthrottled, after which speeds are throttled, and a higher unthrottled allowance is offered on request. Treat it as plenty for maps, messaging and browsing rather than heavy video on every trip.

Hotspot sharing is supported and 5G is offered, so a phone plan can serve a laptop or tablet. Feature lists also include unlimited data and instant activation, which keeps setup short. Check the plan you pick, since not every regional option carries the same network generation.

Top-ups are available, so an eSIM does not have to last the whole trip. Data can be topped up when it runs low rather than buying a second eSIM. Instant activation is listed among the features, which keeps setup brief for short trips where coverage starts on arrival.

Support runs on email, phone and help centre, so you can reach the team by email or phone, or start with the help centre. The provider is a mvno called Numbers Telecom Ltd, based in the United Kingdom, which helps when you are working out who issues the eSIM.

Both short and long trips are in view, and the budget model keeps cost down for slow travel over many months. Local, regional and global plans let you start with a single country and widen the plan only when you need it, rather than paying for a world eSIM from the start.

On entry price it ranks 52 of 313 brands, and on price per gig 70 of 115, so it sits mid field rather than at either extreme. Cheaper entry points exist, but fewer of them cover this many countries.
