Fizz review

Fizz lists travel plans starting at CAD 4, with a cost score of 8. Entry price is not the whole story: the fair use policy says partner network access is for occasional or temporary use only, which shapes how long a plan is meant to last.

Coverage reaches from 200 countries, and the service runs on the Videotron and Freedom networks. Fizz lists a global region footprint, so it suits a trip that crosses several borders rather than one city. Breadth of coverage is the strongest reason to choose it over a single-destination plan.

No. Unlimited data is not offered on the travel plans, so heavy streaming and tethering sit outside what these plans are built for. Fizz targets short trips, so anyone who needs a heavy monthly allowance is better served by a dedicated travel eSIM bought for one destination.

Partner network access is for occasional or temporary use only, and Fizz may block or limit that access after consecutive payment cycles of primary use. In practice that points to short trips, which matches the short-trip audience Fizz serves. Anyone planning to roam as their everyday connection should not treat this as a permanent line.

Yes, top-ups are available on the travel plans, which helps when a trip runs longer than planned. The feature set includes 5g, instant activation and carrier plan, so activation does not wait on a store visit. Sort out the data you expect to need before departure and use the top-up option if usage runs ahead.

Support runs on chat, help centre and community, so help comes through chat, a help centre and a community rather than a phone line. That suits travellers who would rather search a guide at odd hours than wait on hold, and written answers are easy to look up again once you land.

Fizz is a Canadian mobile virtual network operator founded in 2018, running its home service on the Videotron and Freedom networks. The travel side takes that setup beyond Canada, with coverage across from 200 countries and a global region footprint for multi-border trips.

On entry price, Fizz is competitive rather than the cheapest option. Travel plans start at CAD 4, while eSIMGo.is lists plans from $0.99 and SimToIsrael from $25. Fizz trades some of that price edge for a fair use policy written around occasional travel.
