Our verdict
Batelco by Beyon is a carrier eSIM for travelers who want wide roaming and a fully digital setup: packages start at BHD 2.10 and cover from 140 countries. The trade-off is a fair usage policy that throttles data once an allowance is used up, with support on chat and help centre only.

Where it works
Batelco by Beyon is a carrier eSIM, so roaming runs on its own network agreements rather than a resale. Coverage spans from 140 countries, with plans offered at regional and global level, which suits both regional hops and global routes. Current-generation mobile data is supported, useful where older networks get busy.
The company behind it
The service comes from Beyon B.S.C., headquartered in Bahrain and in operation since 1981. As a carrier it supplies the network itself, so roaming is handled in house. Support runs on chat and help centre, which suits travelers who are happy to sort out activation in the app.

Frequently asked questions
What does a Batelco by Beyon package cost?+
International weekly packages start at BHD 2.10, set by the carrier rather than a resale partner. For context, the site median starting price across listed eSIMs is €5, and the median price per GB is €1.50. Check the allowance for the destination before buying.
How many countries does Batelco by Beyon cover?+
Roaming spans from 140 countries, with plans at regional and global scope. That sits below the widest country lists on the market, so anyone crossing several borders should check each destination against the coverage list first and confirm the regional plan covers it.
Is the data unlimited?+
Plans follow a fair usage policy rather than an unlimited claim: once the data allowance is fully used, speed is throttled. Streaming, maps and hotspot use on a long trip can therefore slow down after the allowance runs out, so a larger package is the safer pick for heavy data days.
How do I activate the eSIM?+
Activation is instant and digital only. You receive a QR code or an in-app activation link, with no physical pickup or delivery step. Because the eSIM sits on a carrier plan, it runs on the mobile network directly rather than through a resale marketplace, and the profile stays in the app afterwards.
Can I top up while I am travelling?+
Top-ups are available, which helps on a trip that outlasts a single package. Extra data is added to the existing plan rather than by starting again, and top-ups carry the same fair usage policy, so speed is throttled once an allowance is fully consumed. Packages begin at BHD 2.10.
What kind of company is Batelco by Beyon?+
It is a carrier, not a marketplace, so the eSIM runs on its own network and its own roaming agreements. The entity behind the service is Beyon B.S.C., headquartered in Bahrain and operating since 1981. Buyers who prefer a reseller with many partner networks may find fewer options here.
How do I get help if something goes wrong?+
Support runs on chat and help centre, meaning a self-service help centre plus live chat, with no phone number offered. That works for travelers comfortable fixing activation issues in the app, and suits trips where mobile data itself is the thing that has stopped working.
