Pros and cons
Pros
- Plans start at €1.49, below the site median €5
- Coverage of 190 countries, with regional and global plans on the list
- A Japan data package is €29.99, and 5G is available in Japan
- Top-ups are available on Europe plans, and instant activation appears in the unlimited data, 5g and hotspot list
Cons
- Unlimited data comes with a fair use policy that sets a daily high-speed allowance, then drops to slower speeds, for personal use on one device
- Hotspot sharing is ruled out on Unlimited plans, even though plans sold for the US and Canada support it
- Support runs on email, chat and help centre only, so questions go to a help centre, chat or email rather than a phone line
Who it suits
- Travelers on short trips who want a budget regional eSIM
- Long trip travelers who want one plan across many countries
- Anyone who tops up mid trip, since top-ups are available on Europe plans
Who should look elsewhere
- Zwitchy, if broader coverage matters more than the starting price, with 200 countries covered
- eSIMGo.is, if the lowest entry price decides it, since plans start at $0.99
- SimToIsrael, if you are comfortable with a higher starting price of $25

Frequently asked questions
How much do AMA eSIM plans cost?+
Plans start at €1.49, well below the site median €5. A Europe data package is €11.99, the US and Canada package is €14.99, and Japan sits higher at €29.99, so the price per GB follows the destination.
Which countries does AMA eSIM cover?+
AMA eSIM covers 190 countries, and the plan list spans regional and global options. Destinations are sold one by one, with separate listings for Europe, the US and Canada, and Japan, so you can check the price and the network for the trip you have in mind.
What does the unlimited data fair use policy mean?+
Unlimited data is available, and it appears in the unlimited data, 5g and hotspot list, but a fair use policy shapes how you use it. A set amount of high speed data comes first each day, after which speeds drop and stay low for the rest of the day. Plans cover personal use on a single device.
Can I use hotspot sharing on an AMA eSIM plan?+
Hotspot sharing is available and appears in the unlimited data, 5g and hotspot list, and the plan sold for the US and Canada supports it. The exception is Unlimited plans, where the fair use policy does not allow tethering, so pick a capped data plan if you plan to share a connection.
Does AMA eSIM offer top-ups and 5G?+
Top-ups are available on Europe plans, which helps if you use up your data early in a trip. 5G is available in Japan, and 5G also appears in the unlimited data, 5g and hotspot list, so newer networks are part of the offer on at least some destinations.
Who does AMA eSIM suit?+
It suits both short trips and long trips, as short trip and long trip shows, and the budget model keeps entry prices low. With 190 countries covered, one provider can carry a multi country itinerary, and top-ups on Europe plans let you add data without a new purchase.
Who runs AMA eSIM and how do I get help?+
The service is run by an L.L.C. registered in Kosovo, and it operates as an MVNO rather than a marketplace. Support runs on email, chat and help centre, so a help centre, chat and email are the routes for questions rather than a phone line.
